    Why We Bought This TV Too

    TWC swore, we could do without any “box”. Then they forced one on us. Free? Which TWC swore we would never pay for! Until TWC became Spectrum? In no time, grew to HATE the “Spectrum Box”. Which we’ve had to PAY for!

    Bought this Samsung TV.. NO MORE “Spectrum box”! But there is more to this Smart TV? Watching YouTube Videos. WiFi! And not even a single ‘glitch’ so far. Could sit and ‘browse’ with this TV for days? (Bad habit already)

    Pros: Fairly easy to connect to our network. Took a while to update its software? Suddenly, we’re watching TV, in the 21st century.. Found our Samsung BD Player. Hardware is lightweight. Remote isn’t ‘lead weighted’. Samsung LED. Always best in the industry!

    Cons: Not that ‘user intuitive’, like many Samsung products. Still hasn’t found wife’s Cell Phone, Smart Watch, Tablets or Notebook. Wish it had more I/O? Line Level Audio Out, would be nice? (Like ‘5500 series’) Two HDMI ports seems OK? Since everything is “WiFi” now anyways.

    Note: Bought this at ‘Best Buy’.. And the first one? Screen was cracked! Returned, and replaced without question. Just beware?

    Great quality

    Lightweight Quality, Perfect Bedroom size

    I bought this to replace a bedroom device. I wanted to go Samsung becuase of their quality, and I have a samsung phone which I wanted to integrate with.

    Everything turned out very well. The quality of the display is amazing, and I’m extremely happy with the color and shading of the TV, it vibrant and black levels are really good.

    The thing about this TV is that the newer 2018 TV software is on point, fast and covers pretty much everything from youtube, to HBO and on. The wireless networking is a breeze to setup and the quad cores in this thing make it snappy fast an responsive to input and moving around the gui.

    Mounting is a breeze. I use a non-typical articulated arm mount, which can lay back against the wall if wanted, but I like to have it positioned in a way that I can control the tilt and other adjustments depending on where I’ve decided to be in the room. The incredibly light aspect of this TV is a huge benefit for those that want to have an articulated adjustable wall mount, or have control over its position away from the wall. I thought something was wrong when I got the delivery, because of how light it is!

    IMHO, 4k UHD isn’t necessary if you are hanging it on a wall on the other side of the room, or at least have the smaller TVs closer to you – your perception will not see those fine details unless you get the huge TV on your wall, or at least have a smaller one very close. There is a chart out there that recommends viewing distance for UHD and beyond displays, beyond that distance your eyes aren’t really seeing what you paid for.

    Summary: Absolutely no issues. Software and wireless connectivity are really snappy, fast and encompasses pretty much all the the streaming sites out there. The lightness of the TV makes mounting easy, and the the last reason – Quality: The screen is amazing and the color and how it handles shading is what I have come to expect from Samsung devices. I don’t think you could go wrong unless you bought it but wanted UHD instead. Its a nice peice of technology and does 1920×1080 with ease.

    I bought this TV a month ago and it is working great. I would only hope Samsung TVs would have extra HDMI ports..Mine has two… One for my cable and one for my Blue Ray..I needed another for my PC..Had to get an adapter but then I have to change the input .. Instaed of just direct tuning…

    Beautiful Picture, Terrible Browser

    A friend said I really needed a smart tv and since I have a samsung phone which operates well, I thought this would be a good brand to try. The picture is absolutely wonderful!! The sound was very inconsistent until I finally got the remote working and was able to change the setting to Optimize. The browser is just plain terrible. I think you should add $20 to the price and include a usb keyboard/touchpad. One is coming Monday. I almost threw the whole thing out the window trying to type in url with the remote. Unnecessary frustration. Update the browser and the rating would go up and I would be able to recommend to a friend.

    Bright, sharp picture

    Had an older 22″ 720 Samsung, but wanted a larger 1080. Great TV. Would make the sleep feature simple like the older one as you have to program it if you want to set it in the middle of the night. Everything else is excellent.

    Picture goes out & have to unplug & plug back

    The unit is very light. It was easy to set up, the stand is not very sturdy. Even though the speaker is in the back the audio is good. The only problem is the picture does not display on an intermittent interval. I continually have to unplug the cord and plug back in for the picture to display. Annoying. I haven’t had a chance to try any of the apps.

    Ok but not great

    For the price this TV is good but IMO the picture is not as good as others say it is and the software is limited with respect to options available to adjust the picture. The wire network adapter does not support gigabit ethernet and the integration with your phone is limited unless both the phone and the tv are on the same wireless network, ie. tv cannot be wired with phone wireless. Samsung Smart HUB is ok but again not great.

    TV Performance is not consistent

    I purchased this TV two weeks ago. When I did the setup, I was not able to connect with the Samsung Smartphone so I gave up on that feature. Then on four separate mornings, I turned on the TV with the remote and there was no picture and sound. I was told to unplug the TV, hold the button in for a minute and then plug the TV back in after a minute. Yes, this fixed the TV but then it happened again three more times. This is not acceptable performance for a new TV. I was told it could be a glitch with the sensor or a glitch in the TV.

    I placed the TV in my bedroom for viewing before bed and when I wake in the morning, so I use it on a limited daily basis, but I look forward to the years ahead

    Great picture but several major issues

    First off, this TV has a great picture but the audio is mediocre at best. The audio settings do nothing to improve the poor sound quality, but I knew that going in. Considering it’s only used in the kitchen, I can live with that. Now here are the major issues I had: I’ve had this TV about a month and within 5 days I had an issue with the unit itself. When I turned it on in the morning, there was no picture, only audio. Checked the connections, fiddled with the remote, all to no avail The problem was finally resolved after unplugging the TV for about 5 minutes then plugging it back in. Problem fixed.
    The next day, when I attempted to go into the settings and try to adjust the audio, the settings button was unresponsive no matter what I did. Finally, I once again unplugged the unit for 5 minutes, plugged it back in and the remote settings finally worked.
    I relayed all the above to a rep at a Samsung forum and in the end, I asked him whether or not I should hold on to the unit and hope all the bugs are now gone or have it repaired under warranty or return it to Walmart for an exchange. (I didn’t want a refund) He suggested I just return it for an exchange but due to the inconvenience and the likelihood they wouldn’t have one in stock, I decided to hang on to it and hope for the best.
    I purchased this TV since it was rated the best in its size and offered 1080P HD and as far as the picture quality, it lives up to its ratings. As far as the additional features such as WiFi connection and alternative programming sources such as Netflix, etc., it has them all. As far a performance, once again, the only downside is the the mediocre audio quality which can’t be enhanced.

    Great TV, with one frustrating problem…

    I’ve had this TV for about a month now, and I’m pretty happy with it. The picture quality is great, although there are some adjustments that need to be made to eliminate some minor color bleed and from appearing somewhat washed out. The added capability for HDR is a really nice feature; games like Horizon: Zero Dawn look even more amazing than they did before.

    This being my first Smart TV that I’ve owned, the ability to access most of my favorite video streaming websites, along with other exclusive channels through TV+, is pretty cool. However, as others have mentioned, the audio leaves much to be desired; my older, roughly 10 year-old HDTV had much better speakers.

    Unfortunately, here’s where my experience goes way south. We purchased two of these TVs for our household, and they both have the same problem; the TV randomly decides not to turn on. Whether using the remote or pressing the button on the TV itself, the red light flashes and responds, but…nothing. Only unplugging the TV and plugging it back in fixes the problem. I don’t know if I will have to get a replacement or what, but it’s a pretty ridiculous, very annoying issue to have. Other than that, I definitely recommend this model. Affordable price, lightweight, clear picture, grab this model if you’re looking for a great mid-size FHD TV.

    Busy shopper

    Dinning Room Viewing

    The smaller television fits well in our Dining room. It set up just fine and has a great picture. We were a bit disappointed our Samsung Bluetooth head phones can’t connect with it, as I enjoy using them with our bigger unit in the Living Room, oh-well. When setting up I made a mistake and when I called help, the gentlemen that assisted me was very helpful and quick, the support is excellent.

    Once on board, it’s a great experience in viewing

    Some initial blunders signing on were a challenge. Had to talk with a rep to overcome some initial password issues. They were very patient and guided me at the initial stages. Using the letters,signs and numbers to communicate takes getting the hang of manipulating the remote. Must be easier way. Lots of time consumed dealing with weak WiFi connections and download speed issues. That all required an expensive Best Buy Geek house call and dealing with Download issues with cable company. So be prepared to deal with upgrading your router. I really was frustrated but it all related to naivety. Once all those issues were resolved the viewing experience has been super. Very easy to use the FireStick. It is one tv that so smart you feel dumb till online Samsung help and Best Buy came to my aid.

    Great picture, but

    The picture is great as expected with 1080p resolution in a 32″ size, especially with the Consumers reports recommended settings. Very light weight and easy to set up. That’s the good, and now the average to not so good. The TV’s speakers sound weak and tinny even though they are the same spec as the Samsung TV this one replaced which sounded much better. Trying to get people to buy soundbars? Have had a continuing problem where the TV will not recognize the Xfinity cable box which is attached to HDMI 1 after the TV and cable box have been off for an extended period. Samsung and Xfinity customer service have been less than helpful and have been working and testing different options to try to isolate the problem. If this continues, may just return the TV since internet searches seem to indicate that this isn’t an isolated issue.

    Having issues, only 3 months in.

    In general I like this TV, but starting a couple of weeks ago we started having issues turning it on and off. I’m having to unplug it for a few minutes before the remote works the on/off. I’ve called customer service and have a ticket number for this issue but since it doesn’t happen every time, I was told if I get a service call and it’s not happening when he/she arrives the call might not be covered under the warranty. So I have to live with this until it happens every time. This is extremely frustrating to me and simply should not be the case for a product I’ve had for less than 3 months.

    Problem with power, tv will not turn on.

    Purchased this tv just before Christmas, and immediately had the problem with the tv not turning on sometimes. I have used the reset of unplugging the set and waiting 10 minutes before turning it back on. This works but I don’t see why I should have to use this process 2 or three times a week.
    I will have no choice but to return the set if this problem continues.

    Great picture

    I bought this TV for Christmas. I wanted a smart tv to connect wirelessly. Unfortunately the wireless is not very sensitive. Good features but I am not using them as I need to use a ROKU to make it work. Disappointed about that but the picture is good. Funny that the ROKU picks up the signal with no problem but the tv’s built in Wi-Fi receiver has so much trouble.

    Great TV, still best gotten on a sale

    Bought it as a Christmas present to myself to update from my 32″ Toshiba, as a dedicated gaming TV,a nd some movie watching. First and foremost, the picture quality is THE BEST I have seen on a TV I have previously owned. It’s so sharp, bright, colorful and crisp Setting it up was easier than I expected for a Smart TV, and although I don’t use those features, they do seem nice. However, the framerate is disappointing on some occasions where motion blur and stutter gets really bad, which makes me question the promoted 60Hz screen refresh. Also, the speakers are horrible, they sound like they’re form really old TVs, BUT, they do pick up on sounds and voices I couldn’t previously hear on my older TVs.

    Still love Samsung but TV could be tweaked

    Bought both a 32″ and a 50″ UHD TV for my mom and I, pricing couldn’t be better for the quality and sizes. The picture quality, size and price are perfect. The odd thing that occurred was, because the picture is so bright & clear with UHD/4k TV, when you watch horror movies they’re too ‘bright’ or ‘well lit’ and no longer as scary, lol.

    My other issue is the amount of HDMI and other slots as you need more, hence why I didnt give it a perfect score. The previous models had more hdmi/ USB slots than these. I ended up buying an hdmi splitter to plug in all my equipment, soundbar, multiple video game systems, etc.

    Another issue we both had was when you first start using the TV, the remote were very wonky, not registering when pointed at the TV, very sensative when pressing the buttons so you would fly by the selection you were trying to make. They didnt work properly until after updating twice.

    Sometimes there are connectivity issues. This used to happened during the first 2 weeks, but again, after updating it seems to have corrected itself. Otherwise, so far, both TVs are doing well.

    Keeps losing Air-DTV channels – NO customer Servic

    I purchased this TV thru CostCo. Thought I had a good deal. Monetarily, yes, I did. However the TV keeps ‘losing’ channels that I’ve scanned (different channels at different times). I have to re-scan almost on a daily basis. Every time you scan, it deletes those you designated as your favorites (for me: non-English language channels). Tried contacting Samsung CS – they don’t seem to exist. Not via email, not by message, not by ‘chat’. VERY disappointing

    Poor Warranty Service

    I have no complaints about the quality of the picture. However, the set has been defective almost from the beginning: intermittently the TV won’t turn on, either from the remote or the power button on the set. Several times I have contacted Samsung, but the their techs have not been helpful. Finally, I got a repair authorization–for a repair service 100 miles away! I am quite frustrated that Samsung has no warranty arrangements with at least one of the many local places that could service my TV.

    A little disappointed

    I’ve had this TV less than a week — I love the sharp picture, but the internal speakers leave much to be desired. I’m not happy that I can’t control my soundbar anymore with my DirecTV remote due to the optical only output for sound. My soundbar doesn’t have HDMI/ARC, only RCA and headphone jack connectors which now requires me to use TWO remotes again! For almost 300 bucks you’d think that Samsung could have included another sound option.

    Great purchase

    The setup was easy, no problem connecting to WiFi, picture clarity is great. I am really enjoying the TV. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because of the remote. The remote is not very responsive, the buttons seem cranky. Sometimes when I am trying to change channels, I press the channel up button and nothing happens. So, I press it again and the TV advances two channels instead of one. It’s like it has issues communicating with the TV. Wish they would put out another improved remote for the TV

    Power, sound and remote issues

    I have had this tv for one week and have had issues with the power since day one. The initial turn on and set up was fine. I turned the tv off and it would not turn back on–manually or with remote. I had to unplug it before it would turn on again. I spent an hour with a Samsung technician and it has been downhill since. The tv does not turn on unless I unplug it. After playing for a while, the sound becomes garbled and/or goes out completely. When the sound disappears I have to use the support option on the remote, do a sound diagnosis before the sound returns. Now the remote will not go to the support option. After reading the reviews, this power issue seems to be a reocurring problem. The store where I bought this tv opens in two hours–I’m packing it up for a return. I’ll try one more tv before I give up hope on this model.

    Bad quality for too high of a price

    I’ve been having this television since August 2018. I have had no problems except the overall picture quality of the TV is poor. Does not look HD. I was not too disappointed in the picture, because my roommate and I did not use the television often. I came back home one day and the TV had a black strip down the middle with a crack, except the crack was on the inside. I looked up reasons for an internal crack to occur, and found that it most likely has something to do with the internal hardware malfunctioning. As I mentioned previously, my roommate and I hardly used the TV. It just sits on the TV stand. I have called Samsung and they have told me that my TV has been “physically damaged”, and that they wont repair it under the warranty. This is unacceptable considering the TV was hardly used, touched, or even turned on. There is 100% no way that my TV was “physically damaged”. This is an issue. I am not the only customer who has experienced this issue with Samsung. I will not be buying from Samsung until i see that this OBVIOUS issue is fixed.

    TV picture and sound are very good – But

    I like the HD picture, very sharp, and the sound is also very good., especially for a 32″ model But – when comparing to my Toshiba, the user interface is very confusing (at least more confusing than I think it needs to be). They remote is too cramped with buttons (some I’ll never use). It doesn’t have built in Bluetooth which is a bummer (but not a show stopper, given I can add an external device). The one thing that keeps me from giving this TV 5 stars is the very poor support of a wireless keyboard (I use a USB keyboard), which to me is essential, given its a smart TV connected to my WiFi network. For example using the keyboard in an application such as YouTube will drive you crazy. When asking Samsung support about this limited functionality they said they would take my concerns under advisement. How magnanimous of them!!!!

    Not the Samsung Quality I expected

    I thought this came with bluetooth but it doesn’t, my bad. Since purchasing this TV 20 days ago, I’ve had a major problem and if it doesn’t go away, I will take it back. About 3 or 4 times it has been nonresponsive. Either I attempt to adjust the volume and it will not or it will not power on. I correct the situation by unplugging it for a short time and it all works. It is not my remote as the cable remote programed for Samsung has the same problem. I’ll give it a few more weeks before it goes back. To be fair, I haven’t called tech support as what can they really do but I will before it goes back.

    design flaw..big one

    Overall I am pleased, however my one complaint is the flimsy stand!! I wish Samsung would go back to the design with the stand in the center which was much sturdier.( model 330 )

    I can rock the tv back and forth with very little effort and concerned my cat might knock the tv off the stand. (and I am not willing to bolt it to the wall with string as suggested in the owners manual)

    TV can’t crashing our break every other week

    Tv worked fine at first after a while the applications did my work and eventually the picture would never show and all I’m left with is a black screen and sound. There were so many issues filing a service request I’m gonna just end up throwing away the tv because it is trash now. And a waste of money.

    Feel Like a Sucker

    Where’s the headphone jack or BT feature!

    The TV does not have a BlueTooth or headphone jack. This is unbelievable! What a piece of junk, what good is a great picture and lame sound I cannot make better w/ headphones or BT!?!?! I am going to return this piece of junk

    stopped working after a few months

    This tv stopped working a few months after i set it up. One day it just turned off and it won’t turn back on. While trying to fix the problem i saw online that this is pretty common with this type of tv.

    ok, not great

    bought to replace 12 year old Sony xbr. hard to find good 32 inch tv. not a lot of choices. the good; light, easy to set up. internet connection is good. picture is ok.bad; sound is terrible (use sound bar) already had problem with not turning on (after two weeks)
    I don’t think this one is going to last 12 years.

    Poor quality

    I have been a fan of Samsung TV’s until this on ! Has a great picture when you can get it to turn on , had trouble from day one . Finally took it back and got my money back and purchase another brand .

    BUYER BEWARE: Samsung’s policy for electronics STILL UNDER WARRANTY is that the unit MUST be repaired TWICE and FAIL TWICE before they will exchange it for a new unit. UNBELIEVABLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have owned this TV for less than 6 months and use it for 1 hour a day while I get ready in the morning. For the second time, approx. 30% of the screen has gone black or has multicolor vertical lines and no picture. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT. Going back to Sony which I never had problem with. You have lost a customer for life SAMSUNG.
